Kornkreise waren gestern.
Reiskunst ist heute in - zumindest in Inkadate. Einem Ort gut 600km von Tokyo entfernt.
Was auf dem Bild zu sehen ist, entstand durch unterschiedliche Reispflanzen auf einer sehr großen Fläche. Um das Kunstwerk richtig zu erkennen, klettern die Besucher (170 000 waren es dieses Jahr) auf eine eigens dafür errichtete Plattform.
Seit 1993 werden die Felder nach einem von einem Computer erstellten Plan bepflanzt.
Die herkömmliche Reisplfanze würde immer nur gleich grün erscheinen.
Also bedienen sich die Bauern zweier alter Kutlursorten, eine dunkel lila, eine gelb und einer rötlichen Kreuzung aus den beiden. Das Weiß stammt von einer gentechnisch veränderten Reispflanze.
Hier auf dem Video auf Youtube erkennt man auch das Nachbarbild auf dem Feld der anderen Straßenseite.
